Message sent Blue then changed to Green

Message sends as blue/iMessage then changes to green within a few seconds and then says, "Sent as Text Message." This happened midway through the conversation with someone who didn't want to partake in the conversation anymore. Did they still SEE my message? Does this mean they blocked me? Since they were no longer wanting to communicate--it appears I may have been blocked. But since it went through first blue--I'm confused. Several messages in a row did this.

Hey there dancer4life831,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand your messages changed from iMessage to SMS in the middle of a conversation. We’ll be happy to help.

Do you see an alert similar "Message Not Delivered" or no notification at all? That could be an indicator the message has been blocked. Just turning from iMessage to SMS doesn’t necessarily mean you’re blocked. These articles can provide you with more info:

If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Block, filter, and report messages on iPhone

We hope this helps. Take care.
