Performance Management Applied

Hi. My battery maximum capacity is 86% but I already got performance management applied. Is there anything that I can do? Hoping for a response. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out, pharsa123!

You mentioned that your iPhone has Performance Management applied, and that your battery is at 86% capacity. We can help.

When it comes to battery performance, its important to keep a few things in mind, especially that batteries are consumable and will eventually need to be replaced, and that replacement usually is needed after capacity drops below 80%.

As your battery chemically ages, and depending on what you are running, you may see Performance Management applied if you've exceeded the power capacity of the device and it turned off as a result. Performance Management helps prevent unexpected restarts.

So, what you can do about it is very straightforward. The most permanent solution is to replace the battery, which will resolve all the issues with performance right away. If you're not ready to replace the battery, you can try keeping the iPhone connected to a charger when using power intensive tasks.

A great resource you can check out for more information is iPhone Battery and Performance and here for more details about iPhone battery replacement options.

Take care!
