recently added

The playlist "Recently Added" on my MacBook Pro is showing all of my music back to 2009. Is there a way of setting this playlist so that it only shows music added in the past year? Please note that it isn't a smart playlist but the one that shows up at the top of ITunes/Music.

Song information resetting in Apple Music Library I keep updating song information in my Apple Music Library, mainly genre and year so that I can sort into playlists. But every time I log back in to my music app on my MacBook the information has reverted back. Surely there must be a way of updating years and genres without them changing? It's driving me insane!

Only 60 Most Recent Items Shown in Music Recently Added on Mac OS Sonoma The recently added music section of the library on Mac computers used to show all music added from most recent to very first addition. The new OS Sonoma now only shows the last 60 items added. IOS for iPhone and iPad always showed the last 60 items added and now Sonoma has followed suit. That’s disappointing because I really liked going back and seeing when I added items/albums. I was able to back to 2008 and see what was first added. I hope Apple willadd that back into future Mac OS systems updates.

Why not make a Smart Playlist that does exactly what you want? For example, a single rule: "Date Added" "in the last" "12" "months," and enable Live Updating.

The whole point of recently added is that it automatically shows recently added music. It used to do this until the last update.
