Big Sur Battery settings greyed out

I am unable to change the battery settings. Everything is greyed out. All other settings are available?

I disconnected the power cable which didn't help.

Any ideas?

MacBook Pro 2018 - Battery Status not showing in Menu Bar (Big Sur) As you see n the screenshots, I do not have the battery icon in "other modules" within the system preferences. I can reach the battery menu via the search function though. I have checked the boxes "Show in menu bar" and "Show Percentage". But as you see there is no battery icon in the menu bar. I tried it with removing the power plug and just running the MacBook Pro on battery. For gods sake I also did reinstall Big Sur freshly! Nothing helped so far. Any advice? UPDATE: I have installed a 3rd party app for battery status. It says "No battery installed" which obviously can't be true since I am typing on battery right now...

Battery Not Charging Hi Everyone, Last night I have updated my MacOS to Big Sur 11.2.2 and I am facing a very bad situation with battery charging. It is showing me battery is not charging even showing the charger plugged sign above the batter icon. I found somewhere that I need to disable the battery optimisation option to resume the battery charging but unfortunately I am not getting the option to disable this. If anybody can help me out kindly help me as soon as possible. I appreciate your help and support. Regards Naresh

Try this: Go to SystemPreferences, Security and Privacy and unlock te padlock. Click on Advanced and select "Require an adminstrator password to access system-wide preferences". Click on OK.

If you go Battery now, and unlock the padlock, are you able to change the settings?
