Messages stuck in landscape on iPhone 12 Pro

The messages app is stuck in landscape mode.

Lock orientation is off and already tried force restart

is his common?

iMessages app glitch I found that I am unable to rotate to landscape orientation on my iPhone XS, using the iMessages app. The screen rotates in other apps. I tried powering off and on, with no change. Any ideas out there about this? The phone software is up to date. Thanks

I can't turn my messages back to vertical from horizontal on iphone 11 I'm in portrait mode and unlocked and my messages won't go from horizonal to vertical when I turn my phone

Messages display can be a combo of portrait and landscape Sometimes my Messages display will show the list of messages and message content in portrait mode but the app bar shows up on the left side like its in landscape mode. This also scrunches the input text box down so small its unusable. Normally Messages on my iPhone 12 pro with IOS 14.3 only displays Messages and the app bar in portrait mode. If I reboot my phone it fixes the problem. Does anyone else have this issue? FYI, when I rotate my phone it does not change the mixed up display

Hi Hypnoswan,

It looks like you're having issues with the Messages app. If that's correct, let's try the following.

Restart your iPhone

Also, are you using a third-party keyboard?

Add or change keyboards on iPhone
