Shift key refuses to capitalize continuously

After software update to Big Sur 11.4, my macbook pro shift key would not capitalize letters. The shift key works when I need to select multiple documents, but not when I try to capitalize letters. It only works once in a while but never whenever I want to use it. I have done the SMC reset, but did not have any luck.

Is there another recommended solution? Thanks

Try holding the Shift key a while longer.
