why can't I make calls on my Apple Watch 5 without wifi? It is activated with my cellular provie I cannot make a call on my Apple Watch 5 without wifi or my phone nearby. My watch is activated with my iphone carrier.

Yes,the watch uses the phone's number to make calls,if the phone doesn't have a sim card then you can't make calls with either phone or watch.
