iPad 11" M 3rd Generation connecting to MBP USB

Just purchased the iPad Pro (11-inch) 3rd Generation went to backup to finder on my MBP (No USB-C)

And it is not recognised in finder

I am connecting with a USB-C to USB-C cable, with a USB-C to USB dongle (MBP End)

The dongle is not faulty, connected a CFExpress Card Reader(USB-C) to the MBP with no issues

I have reset Location & Privacy but with no effect

Any Help would be appreciated
