can't set up iPad mail

I can log into ATT email via safari but can't add account to iPad using identical id

& password


using;

incoming - map.mail.att.net

outgoing - smtp.mail.att.net


ports 25, 465

using SSL

authentication - password


"something went wrong " message appears

iPad mini, iOS 12

After 5 agents and 3 hours I learned I must create a "Secure Email Key" and use it instead of the password used on web entry or apple mail on phone. The secure key dialog is invoked by the bottom most selection on the My ATT page.
