Syncing Messages on iCloud error message

“Uploading to iCloud Paused - Plug in your device and connect to WiFi”

I recently turned on Messages as an 'App using iCloud'. I'm not completely sure that this caused this “Uploading to iCloud Paused - Plug in your device and connect to WiFi” but where do I 'plug in device'? plug my device to my MacBook Air? to electrical plug?

How do I get rid of this?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Hi deborawkart,

It sounds like you're seeing a message about uploading to iCloud and we can help.

When you use iCloud Messages, all the content in your Messages app is uploaded to iCloud

To upload to iCloud, you need to connect to power so that your iPhone is charging, and also make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi to facilitate the upload.

You can learn more about Messages in iCloud here:

Use Messages in iCloud

After the upload is complete the message will go away.
