Anyone having trouble getting Big Sur to recognize a USB microphone?

I've got an AKG Lyra that I just purchased in October. It was working perfectly until I upgraded to the latest version of Big Sur (11.4), and now it's not recognized in any of the USB ports on my MacBook Pro. It's not the microphone or the cable, as my wife's MacBook Air running 10.15.7 recognizes it just fine. It's also not the USB ports themselves, as my Apple SuperDrive is recognized immediately in any of the 4 ports.

I have the same problem with my AT2100x. Shure MV5 works fine. Hope this gets worked out in the next update.

This is interesting... how do you know that the mic is working and recognized before you log in? If it is indeed so, it may help to find a kludge to make it work after logged in.

But alas, I just tried shutting down 3 times and no connection. I think it's still the Intel chip vs. having the M1 chip which recognizes it. Thanks anyway.

I just bought a Mac Mini M1 and it does not recognize my AKG Lyra. I also have a 2016 12 inch Macbook which recognizes it thought and it works perfectly on it.

Is your machine an M1 chip machine?

It is Intel. The M1 should recognize the usb mic.
