Hello ashwin48,

Welcome to Apple Communities, please note that I do not work for Apple, and my answer is based on what I know.

You can follow these steps to create a playlist. If you do not own any music or do not have an apple music description, you might not be able to create a playlist (Not 100% Sure). You posted this under mac, but it is best to know for all devices.

Create a playlist on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Android device

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. At the bottom of your screen, tap Library.
  3. Tap Playlists.
  4. Tap New Playlist.
  5. Give your playlist a name, then tap Add Music.
  6. Search for music that you want to add, tap it, then tap Done. On Android, tap Done .
  7. Tap Done or Done .

Create a playlist on your iPad

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and tap New Playlist.
  3. Give your playlist a name, then tap Add Music.
  4. Search for music that you want to add, tap it, then tap Done.
  5. Tap Done

Create a playlist on your Mac or PC

  1. Open the Apple Music app or iTunes.
  2. In the menu bar, choose File > New > Playlist.
  3. Give your playlist a name.
  4. Drag and drop music to your playlist in the sidebar.
