Apple seems to care about user's data, but apple mail is unusable without instant notifications. All 3rd party apps can do it, and I have to use them and share my data. Apple common, do something. Fetch every 15 minutes lag is too long.
Set the account to Push. If there is any reason Push is not allowed it is due to the account provider.

Apple's push works only for Exchange and iCloud. Gmail , Imap do not work. Why all other mail apps can send push notifications and Apple can't?
Outlook.com IMAP has Push available.
If you think Spark is better then use it.
I use Mail for iCloud, Outlook app for Microsoft and Gmail app for the abomination.
Looks like you didn’t notice comma between Gmail and imap. Really abomination. Everyone tries to tell that it is server’s problem, why then Spark can send push notifications for imap accounts, and apple can’t?
Gmail is not IMAP, it is an abomination.
I am not saying Spark is better. But lack of delivering emails in time makes people search for alternatives.
