carplay not working after update to 14.6

I am having the same issue with my 2021 Honda CRV. It’s such crap that every single time Apple does an update it ALWAYS causes issues with the CarPlay! Apple you need to step up and fix this issue once and for all!!

I recently upgraded to iOS 14.6 as well and my wired CarPlay is not working anymore either. I keep getting the message “Unable to connect to iPhone.”

I have never had issues with CarPlay before. I’ve tried to reset iPhone and my car connections, change cords, and tried to do the turn on/off Siri fix. None of these have worked. Access to CarPlay is extremely important for me when I drive. Is there anyway to escalate this to Apple devs to make sure it’s fixed ASAP?

I have the same issue with a 2016 Golf GTE (wired connection). I have tried each proposed solutions (Siri, factory resets, etc), and then I've also tried to use Carplay with multiple iPhone versions, but none of them succeeded. This issue should be escalated & addressed in the next iOS release.

I have spoken with a senior advisor at Apple about this and included all the information in this thread as well for her to escalate to senior engineers. Not sure what APPLE will actually do... but At least I've treid to get them to address the issue.

Not sure what "Uconnect" is.. I'm assuming a 3rd party app? Still unable to have Carplay show up as a usable app option in my xc40 Volvo. Have tried everything on the planet. Waiting on seniour engineer at apple to return with info on the case she "took responsibility for".

I Hvar a Renault Talisman 2016. I jest switched to iOS after being a long Android User. My experience? CarPlay does not work…. I Think I made a bad choice and its time to switch back to android.

Same. MY2016 VW Golf with wired connection. Worked fine until iOS 14.6. Nearly got T-bone as I was distracted resetting phones and head units, swapping leads etc (note don’t try and fix it while driving).

Having the same issue with my wife’s brand new 2021 Grand Cherokee L. Neither of our iPhone 12s work anymore. It’s odd though because I have a 2018 Sahara Wrangler and my CarPlay still works great… very confusing

Just upgraded to 14.6 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my wife’s iPhone SE. Now none of our 3 vehicles have car play. I’ve tried all the suggestions but nothing. Apple needs to fix this.

I upgraded ios 14.6 and carplay does not work and my car supports carplay. Apple should fix this bug. I turned off siri and did it, same problem

Same situation here. iphone xs max 14.6 and Honda HRV.

I've tried every single possible solution, Nothing worked.

None of "Apple Specialists" has mentioned something useful. This is really annoying.

This is a major problem and Apple should push an OWA fix ASAP
