Unlock with Apple Watch causes audio to Bluetooth Headset to disconnect

Having this issue with unlocking my phone with my Apple Watch whereby whenever I wake the phone up, and it’s attempting to unlock to phone, my audio will stutter before getting disconnected from my Bluetooth headset.

The audio will be killed, but the headset is still shown to be connected, and the music is still playing. Would have to disconnect and connect back the Bluetooth headset to get the music back.


All this is happening for Apple Music


im using Apple Watch S3 (A1859, watchOS 7.4.1), Powerbeats Pro Wireless (A2048, version 3A283). iPhone 11 Pro Max is running on iOS 14.6

Hi CarlAVII,

It’s a shame OinKeY’s specific issue is not addressed at all in your reply, nor in the article you are referring to. OinKeY raises a bug of an interrupted Bluetooth connection between iPhone and Powerbeats Pro when using an Apple Watch to unlock the phone. It’s a bug that my phone unfortunately replicates every time I am wearing a face mask, but only then, since in any other instance, my watch needs not step in to aide facial recognition. Seems to me that, instead of referring to an old article explaining what we do wrong, this should be raised as a bug instead
