How do you add a transit card to the Apple Wallet app?

I would like to add my Clipper card (a transit card) to the Apple Wallet app by whenever I open the app and tap on the plus sign, it just uses the camera and tells me to position the card in the frame, which never works as my card is a transit card. When I click "Enter manually" it just asks me for my name and credit card number which also doesn't work as I have a transit card.

I am using an iPhone 7.

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Greetings IceCreamKiller,

We see that you are attempting to configure a card in Wallet for use with transit. We're happy to advise.

Check out our article Set up a card in Wallet to ride transit with Apple Pay for the steps and additional links related to configuring this service. Please note that per Where you can use Apple Pay with Express Transit mode, "Not all transit and payment cards are supported. Check with your transit agency for information about the cards that you can use with Apple Pay for transit."

We hope this helps!

Welcome back IceCreamKiller,

As the feature is designed to add your transit card to Apple Pay, we would recommend configuring that service first before completing the steps from the articles we shared previously. Should you still find yourself unable to set that up, use the link from the bottom of one of the articles to connect with our support directly to investigate further.

Thanks!
