I waited so long to finally purchase my AirTags, now I find out NO ONE else in my family can see the locations but me?! I had a bad feeling something was wrong when they came with little to no instructions. My dog and my cat have AirTags but I’m the only one that can see them. So my kids and husband are screwed if they need to find them and I’m not around. Apple needs to make an update to fix this!!

As noted elsewhere in this thread Apple Air Tags can now be shared with other people, although that notwithstanding Apple don't recommended that they are used for tracking pets.

I have a car keys that we share with my wife on her Apple ID so when I need to find the keys I need to find my wife first

Thanks for that info PeteHikers. I have sent a feature request. Hopefully enough people will do the same so we can get family sharing on the AirTags!

Apple needs to put a huge disclaimer at the purchase point explaining how disappointed you are going to be with these when you discover that you can't share them on your family plan.

Just bought four of these. If I knew they couldn’t be shared I wouldn’t have. Guess I’ll have to stick with Tile devices.

Why these are not sharable amongst family is mind boggling. The four I bought are FAR LESS useful. This limitation needs to be in bold print at the top of every airtag advert.
