You cannot.

Click on this link to find out 'How to reset your AirTag' --> https://support.apple.com/HT212251

"An AirTag can be associated with one Apple ID. If you want to use an AirTag that someone else has used, they need to remove the AirTag from their Apple ID first. If the previous user removed the AirTag from their Apple ID but they were out of Bluetooth range of the AirTag, then you need to reset it before you can use it with your devices."

Here is my 2 cents about this.

The reason why airtags location can’t be shared like family devices can, is because Iphones, Ipad etc allow the owner to turn off the localize feature, AirTags don’t…

Let’s say I want to cheat on my husband or wife, I can turn off « share my location » for a while and pretend that I was in Airplane mode or there was no network, or it was turned off due to low battery….

Same scenario with AirTags, I cannot turn off the location of the shared AirTag, unless I pop the battery out, then it would have to be reset again so pretty suspicious 😉

Sadly logging into my wife's iCloud account doesn't reveal the items list, so you can't see the airtags, this would be at least the first step Apple? However its probably not workable if you have to use the MFA each time to access the tags as the whole point is she's family so you shouldn't need to get her to authorise it first, what if she's busy or you are trying to find her and she's lost and not with her phone, thats the whole point right?!
