Force Touch on iPhone 11 XS Max

Whats up guys, I have a complicated question for what I hope is a simple solution. I recently upgraded from my iPhone XS Max to an 11 Pro Max. On my old phone (XS Max), I was easily able to press and hold on notifications and it would pop up with different options. Same when it comes to pressing and holding on the keyboard to move the cursor along the text I’ve typed. On my 11 Pro Max, I have to press much harder for much longer for notifications to pop up the options, and I can’t even move the cursor around the keyboard to edit the text. I’ve messed with all of the settings for keyboard, force touch, etc. Does anyone know what I need to do to get these old settings back? Thanks.
