Can't put a contact into a notes file

When I try to drag and drop a contact from the Contacts app into a note in the Notes app, the placed contact bubble in the note reads "Unsupported Attachement", "Upgrade macOS to view this attachment". My MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) is on macOS Big Sur Version 11.4 which is currently the most recent version of macOS available to me. Is there a way I can transfer a contact into a note and have it be supported?

Try the following method-

Open Contacts app ➔ Select the contact to transfer ➔ Tap on share button (Bottom Right of the contact) ➔ Select Notes ➔ Choose the appropriate note ➔ then save it there.
