New Apple TV 4K skipping video on its own

I have had the new Apple TV 4K for less than a week and up until tonight it was working great, I’m trying to watch YouTube and constantly no matter what video I watch YouTube will act like it’s buffering and then skip either a few seconds to a few mins into the video and if I pause it, it also skips and rewinds. Every time it does this the Apple TV light blinks as if it’s being issue a command from the remote. The Apple TV is connected to Ethernet and videos load fine on my computer and phone it’s just the tv that’s doing this. I’ve tried closing and reopening the YouTube app, restarting the Apple TV, and even uninstalling YouTube and reinstalling it and it’s still doing this it’s driving me crazy especially since it’s so new. Anyone have any idea what’s going on? It’s on the latest update as well.
