How to add AMEX Bluebird debit card to Apple Wallet?

I use a prepaid debit card issued from American Express called “Bluebird”. I’ve had my identity stolen in the past, and this card has helped me regain trust in using cards online again.

I have tried manually entering the card in, as well as scanning it in, but it really may just be that Apple Wallet does not accept this card yet.

Has anyone ever been able to submit a request to Apple to have them add a card into their accepted list of payment methods?

They do list AMEX as a company that they can add to the Wallet, so I’m unsure why a different AMEX product isn’t allowed. It’s basically like a regular debit card.
