scanning doesn't work in Catalina anymore

Done all of that and it's not long had a new hard disk with fresh install and so im not doing it again. I have contacted Xerox but Ive since discovered that there is no problem with the printer because it works fine with Big Sur just not with Catalina 10.15.7.

It is connected over ethernet. It worked just fine straight out of the box with bonjour but a week or two ago it stopped scanning. I removed the printer, installed the drivers from the Xerox website and re-added it and it worked fine again for a while but it has now totally stopped scanning with the iMac. I am able to print still and I can access it's build-in web server; this is how ive been able to install the bridge firmware and the subsequent latest firmware. Im sure it would work fine over usb if I had a usb cable for it and it was near enough but I want to use it as a network printer. As I say: it works fine with Big Sur. This is a problem with Catalina 10.15.7 (in my opinion).

Exactly the same response from Image Capture as for Print & Scan Utility.

Ok, I should have said it is connected wirelessly over Ethernet, not by cable.

To be clear: the iMac is connected via WiFi as is the MacBook Air, as is the printer. Everything prints ok but only the MacBook Air can scan.

Have done many, many, many times.

As already stated, I have installed the latest firmware to the device. The system sw ver is 68.59.1

As an extension to this, the printer has nothing in its error log associated with this issue either.
