BIG SUR BRICKED MY MACBOOK PRO
OK here is how it happened.
I upgraded my MBP to Big Sur a while ago. Then one day i was cleaning my keyboard when it was OFF, then it turned on by itself (obviously i pressed on the power button along with other combinations of keys when i cleaned it) it went to firmware password screen directly. Yes, I have a firmware passcode set for it and i have 2 other laptops and I DO KNOW WHAT MY FIRMWARE PASSWORD IS. Even though i entered my password correctly it doesnt accept it.
Once again, i know what my password is because i use it on my two other laptops. Somehow firwmare password is corrupted. This laptop was given to me as a gift from my previous employer which i cannot get a hold of.
So, is my macbook pro which is late 2011 is TRASH NOW?
