Not able to remove google drive from my mac mini

I installed a google drive to back-up some of my folders. Now this google drive does not show up on my menu bar. As per a lot of 'how to' videos online, you almost always have to access the google drive icon on the menu bar... i tried many things and the icon doesn't show on my menu bar. Now i just want to get rid of google drive.. but i can't do that either. It says i can't get rid of it because the application i still open. But i am not able to close the application because the force quit option does not show google drive...

what can i do to get rid it...?

Any ideas anyone?
