iPad Gmail App

My web version of Gmail on PC shows many years of emails but app version only shows last 2 years. Can this be extended to show more years?

what is the latest version of Mail App -- my iPhone says 2.40.0 Is that up-to-date? My iPhone has the Mail App version 2.40.0 -- is that the latest version? Is it up-to-date? My Mail App is having a huge problem with my Comcast email account. I suspect it could be an old Mail App that's causing the problem.
