Linked Contacts Broken
I have contacts stored in iCloud and in two separate Google accounts, and I've gone through them at least 3 different times making sure all the duplicate cards across the accounts are "Linked". Despite this, most (not all) of the links never stay in place, meaning I will inevitably have three duplicate contacts for the same person. I can't find any real logic for which links break and why. Sometimes my contact will split into three immediately, sometimes it'll take an hour, sometimes it'll be after the next restart. For some contacts, the link almost never breaks, others refuse to be linked despite having identical data in every field. For some contacts, two of the duplicates will stay linked but the third will split off on its own. It is immensely frustrating and makes it confusing when I try to use Messages or Mail.
So, is linking contacts just a lie? Is this a bug? I feel like previous versions of Contacts/Addressbook may have been more reliable in this regard but I honestly don't know. Am I just doomed to not being able to connect my iCloud and Gmail contacts?
