iTunes remote app

iTunes remote app on iPhone with iOS 14.4.1 connecting to music library on Mac Mini Big Sur 11.4. After entering pass number to pair the remote with music library the remote app is stuck "Connecting to Mac Mini's Library".

Issue seems to have started after 11.4 Big Sur update. Any ideas on a fix?

Thanks for your reply and helpful tip about updating the iPhone. I spent some time on the phone, and chat, to Apple Support and had already updated the iPhone yesterday to 14.6. This didn't fix the problem, but what worked for me was switching on home sharing. The iTunes Remote app works fine with that enabled.

Just to add, using the iTunes Remote app to pair the iPhone and Mac Mini manually - that is by entering the four digit passcode - seems to be broken by the Big Sur 11.4 update.
