Can I use iMac as a monitor for windows laptop?

Can I use iMac as a monitor for windows laptop? Since working from home I am looking for new monitor screen to be used with my HP laptop and also at the same time I am thinking to buy iMac or maybe macbook pro but I just don’t want to spend much money to both choices if one of them can meet 2 objectives - use as monitor and for video editing. Seeking your expertise here if iMac 2021 can fulfill my requirements here? Thanks in advance :)
