Keychain problems on Big Sur

I was just trying to turn on iCloud keychain on my Mac and I seem to have messed something up along the way. I was wondering if someone could help me with this, because I have no idea what's going on.

I somehow managed to remove the login keychain, and discovered that the solution to this was to Reset Default Keychains. I am trying to do so, but I see this when I click the button:

None of the passwords I enter are working, and I'm not really sure what I've done and how I can get the login keychain back. I tried signing in and out of my Apple ID. Now I can't even sign in to messages because "A keychain is missing." Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I spoke with Apple Support, and the problem was solved by changing my user password, then restarting the mac and logging back in.
