Two external 4K Monitors on Mac Mini ( M1 )
Hello all.
I've ran on a problem with connecting two 4K monitors to Mac Mini ( M1 ). So the following setup is this: 1st monitor is connected via HDMI 2.0 cable ( HDMI port on mac mini ) and it is outputting 4K@60hz without hiccup, 2nd monitor is connected via USB-C to HDMI cable that is connected to one of ThunderBolt 4 (3) ports ( 3rd party cable but certified for 4K@60hz) and that monitor is only outputting 4K@30Hz. I've also tried USB-C to DisplayPort ( again 3rd party cable ) but same results. I've tested both of these 3rd party cables on my MacBook Pro 13" (2017) and they work as expected, delivering 4K@60hz. So to finally get to my questions:
- Will my issue will be fixed if i purchase this USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Apple ( from Apple site ) and then use that HDMI port on that adapter to connect 2nd monitor via HDMI 2.0 cable?
- Does anyone have any experience with this said adapter from apple or have this adapter and is willing to test my use case - because to be honest it is quite expensive adapter and i need to be sure that it would work for my use case.
Thank you in advance for any information.
All best, D.
