No option to erase volume group. Only option is to erase free space.

I'm trying to wipe my Macbook before sending to apple for trade in. Instructions says to use disk utility and click erase volume group. I only have an option to erase free space. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

If in doubt or you have an issue

From Internet Recovery Disk Utility>View >Show All Devices> erase/format/initialize the parent Drive.
