notifications across devices

why is my bank app sending notifications to my kid’s macbook? just because it’s linked to my icloud? i can’t control the notification settings of my iphone’s banking app through the computer. is my only option to turn off notifications on my iphone all together? do i have to sign him into a new account, with none of the apps i paid for on mine? how do i fix this?
