Mouse Highlight Overlay

I'm having an issue with Mission Control. Anytime I open Mission Control, I see a window called "Mouse Highlight Overlay" that takes up a big chunk of the screen. It's not associated with any open application as far as I can tell (it remains after closing all apps and relaunching Finder), so this previous response doesn't solve the issue.

How can I get rid of this Mouse Highlight Overlay window?

Hello mouse_overlay,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! We understand you are looking for some information about using Mission Control. We are happy to help provide some guidance.

When you are using Mission Control, you will see an overlay title for whatever you hover your mouse pointer over. In this instance, because you have an open window in Safari with the title of "Mouse Highlight Overlay" in the Apple Support Communities. If this seems to be stuck on screen after you move your mouse off of that window, we would recommend restarting the Mac to see if the same thing happens. If the issue continues, try booting into safe mode to see if it persists:

Keep us updated on how it goes. We hope this information helps.

Best Regards.
