Why was the calculator removed from right-hand widgets in Big Sur? Will it be brought back soon? May seem insignificant to some, but the time lost opening the calculator via Spotlight search really adds up, especially after years of using it in the RH-widgets bar.
we are just fellow mac users such as yourself. no-one here would be able to say why apple removed that functionality. you're best bet would be to send feedback to this link: Feedback - macOS - Apple. in the mean time, you can place the calculator app on your dock.

That's been noted previously and since we're all endusers like yourself we have not idea why it was left out or if it'll ever be returned.
Many have worked around it by adding the calculator to the Dock or use a macro editor like Keyboard Maestro to create a one or 2 key shortcut to launch the Calculator.

Well, we can say that Widgets are no longer interactive as that is in the developer documentation. The only input to them is the settings for each widget, like which city to show for weather and time. I don't know if they stated why they chose to make them that way.
I've submitted it through the feedback link, thanks. I didn't realize there were no Apple reps in this support forum.
