IPhone acting super glitchy.

My iPhone continuously goes through these weird phases where the touch screen is super glitchy. It thinks I’m touching it and I’m not. Or I am touching it and nothing happens. This is typically resolved once I lock and unlock the phone. But today I had to turn off my phone twice before I was able to get it to correct itself. Any ideas of what’s going on?
