Random shut down and pink square in bottom corner of screen

Hello Everyone!

My question is about my new MacBook Air M1 2020 (I've had it for maybe 2 months).

As I was simply reading an article, it shut down to the screen you see in the photo, and then powered back on as if nothing was wrong. Is there something I should be concerned about? Should I take it in to Apple?

Thanks for your thoughts!

As matter of basic troubleshooting could be useful to try Safe mode to see

if anything happens; not just now, but an occasional practice (on restart.)

Perhaps a diagnostic could be run, however that may come later.

[The M1 Apple Silicon uses different means to run former routines

common to Intel-mac; this gets sketchy where 2+ methods exist.]

A variety of apps can be run with macOS Recovery in M1 Macs.
