CarPlay “speech mode” in BMW

Out of the blue, the wired/wireless CarPlay I have in my 2020 BMW X2 is play audio through speech mode instead of the normal “entertainment” setting. This caused the audio to sound like awful audio when you’re on the phone with someone. I’ve done literally everything and can’t get it back to normal!

Audio adjustment when using carplay I've been having issues with the volume adjustment on my 2021 Ford Explorer while using Apple Car play. On Bluetooth I can adjust the volume of my music or call with no issues. As soon as I plug in the cable and it kicks over to Apple Car play I lose the ability to adjust the volume up or down. Instead, the "prompt" volume is being adjusted. Has anyone found a fix? Is this is a known bug with Apple IOS?

CarPlay Audio automatically switching CarPlay recently began switching the audio source to my iPhone when I connect it to my Honda CR-V, which I don't want it to do. Even though I'd been listening to satellite radio previously, as soon as I connect my iPhone to my car, the audio input switches to the phone, which has no audio playing. This never used to happen until about 2-3 weeks ago. I'm running iOS 13.7 on my iPhone. I primarily use CarPlay so I can use Waze for navigation, which I've been using since 2008, and prefer to any other GPS maps system. On occasion, I'll use my iPhone for audio, too, but would prefer that it not usurp the audio input when I plug it in. There doesn't seem to be a setting for this. Any ideas as to why this is happening, and how I might correct it? Thanks!

Carplay distorted audio near home I have had this issue using carplay in three different vehicles wireless and USB. When I am using carplay to play any audio and I get within a certain radius of my house the audio pauses for a split second and the quality becomes absolutely terrible. Pausing and playing will fix it but i have no clue what is causing it. I have the same problem when I leave my house as well, same radius. Could it be something location related? I have tried all the options people have given with similar issues about quality but to no avail
