NEW Siri remote as remote for the whole entertainment center

I just wanted to know if the new Siri remote can be used as a full on universal remote for example it change inputs control Blu-ray players ,direct tv genie receivers ,control volume and turn of and o on the tv no matter the input cause if this is the case we will use this as our remote from now on we just need to know how to set it up thanks for the quick response
