how do i synch outlook contacts and calendars with my iphone

What is the error message when it doesn’t connect? Do you have 2 factor authentication enabled on your Outlook account? If you do you will need to create an app-specific password to use the built in email, contacts and calendar app.
Go to Settings/Contacts/Accounts and add the Outlook account. Also check Calendar in the setup.
