Initial audio delay on Apple TV 4K (2021)

Hi all,

I have the Apple TV 4K (2021), Sony A8G, and am connecting with the Belkin UltraHD High Speed 4K HDMI Cable I ordered from Apple.

I am getting a 1-1.5 second delay when starting any videos (Netflix, Disney+) as well as the same delay when I pause and start a video. I do not have these issues using the native apps on my TV.

EDIT: The pause delay GOES AWAY when I turn off “reduce loud sounds”, but the initial delay is still there

I have read switching the audio settings to stereo on the Apple TV fixes this, which did work for me, but I do not want to lose audio fidelity. Are there any other work arounds or fixes for this?

Do you use the built-in TV speakers, or do you have a different audio setup? Please describe.

Built in speakers, and subwoofer via headphone jack

I did do a test on a movie with great sound (Dark Knight Rises), and the sound is noticeable worse on stereo as expected.
