I can not see the application on my screen. When I try to dowland it from App Store it tells me to update it. I click the update button but it neither opens or update the app

I have a 6s. I did what you have told and my phone is iOs 12.4
It seems like this
Go to Settings/General/About and report the phone’s model name. I think you have an iPhone 6, not a 6S. And it can’t be updated higher than iOS 12.
