I recently purchases a 12 because X broke and the screen wasn't working. My airpods are now not showing under my devices. I went through **** getting my watch unpaired from the X to the 12 because I was not able to unpair it (because it was broken). I am hoping this isn't the same issue with the airpods.
How do I get my airpods to show under my devices?

AirPods never show under "My Devices". Only devices you sign in to using your Apple ID appear there. AirPods are not signed in using your Apple ID.
They should be under the devices, because you can use the “find my” option if you lose them.
