iCloud removal from Mac

When I removed my iCloud from Mac, the files which were not uploaded to iCloud but which were within documents and desktop got deleted. Is there any way to recover those lost files. Again, the files were not uploaded on iCloud because I only had 5 GB storage on iCloud whereas the files were at least 12 GB and hence not uploaded because of lack of storage space. The problem here is that I don't have my time machine turned on and so that route's closed

Is there anyway to get those files?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4
