Moving Hard drive data to Store in icloud
I am running out of disk space and cant figure out how to upload into icloud. I dont understand the point of icloud drive?

When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5 GB of free storage. You can choose which apps and features store information in iCloud by turning iCloud features on or off.
When Mac is signed with Apple ID and password by setting up iCloud Set up iCloud on your Mac - Apple Support and turning on inbuilt applications , the data stored say in notes , mails , photos ....sync with iCloud and occupies the icloud space , also iCloud Drive and desktops box has to be turned on
