experiencing exactly the same problem. Started on 14.6 and has continued into 14.7. Resetting, leaving unplugged, setting up on another network, nothing seems to fix the problem. That's find Apple wants to discontinue but should provide fix to get my HomePod back up and running correctly as it was before the update to 14.6. As of right now, this HomePod is nothing more than a paperweight.

Please reset it using the press the finger method: Reset HomePod - Apple Support
Then set it up again
Hi
i also have reset and installed my HomePod twice but the noise still occurs after a few minutes playing, even occurs if I haven’t had music playing!
my first HomePod was replaced after issues under warranty for the current one, which now has issues. I think I might stick to Sonos!

I took the HomePod into the Apple Store at Southampton last Wednesday. I explained that the noise was like an amplifier trying to find its correct balance. There was a suggestion that it was something to do with the HomePod adjusting to the Room's accoustics. I explained it didn't do it before the last upgrade and the guy agreed that there had been "several similar issues" from other HomePod users.
He checked the hardware and software and found nothing wrong. He then reset the HomePod but as the fault was intermittent there was nothing more they could do with it. The HomePod had been discontinued and Apple no longer offered support for it.
He suggested that I either gave it to them to recycle free of charge or that I sold it on. Apparently because it has been discontinued, there is a demand for secondhand/reconditioned ones! I sold it that afternoon and at least received something back on a HomePod which had cost £200 only 14 months earlier.
Thank you though for trying to help.
Regards
Brenda
Same exact issue with our HomePod -- occasional clicks and very loud buzz. Have tried resetting multiple times per instructions. Not the support and quality that I've (here-to-fore) expected from Apple.

It is quite sad that Apple has discontinued an expensive product and then offers no support. This is not a proper way to treat paying customers. I will surely pass this on to a consumer protection agency here in Europe to inform of Apple's practices.
Hi, I sold it to a company called CeX in Southampton. They kept it until they had done their own tests on it, confirmed all okay the following day and the money was paid into my bank account about 4 days later. They have a website - uk.webuy.com - the Southampton Apple Store recommended them.
Argos are still selling new large Apple HomePod despite Apple not supporting the product. Its price is higher than I paid 18 months ago.
Thanks. I find it quite sad that Apple simply abandons its products. I'm almost speechless. They simply do not care. I am sure there are many many more HomePods that are having the same issue. I bet a one week boycott of Apple products would get their attention. This is terrible service.
Hello again. I’ve now managed to reset my HomePod and set it back up again but the noise is still happening. What should I do now? Thanks Brenda
Unplug it for over 24 hrs. Plug back in and wait about 10 minutes then try the reset using the press the finger method. See if that helps.
Hi Brenda
I’m sorry to hear you lost your HomePod. Glad you were able to get something back for it.
I’ve seen online people wanting to buy used HomePods.
I’m having the same issue. Tried resetting multiple times. Sometimes it pops. Other times it’s that loud buzz then powers down.
exact same problem here
Hi Auntie Brenda, where did you sell it? Ebay or something like that?
