Issues changing the country in Apple Store!

Hi Apple community,

I have been trying to change the country into US to redeem a card , but unfortunately it didn’t work.

I canceled subscriptions, ICloud plan and add all details for US state/city and payment method yet it seems that payment method is the issue. I tried Credit Card and None , a message “ payment method is declined/ not valid “ popped up and even with PayPal “ your PayPal and iTunes and App Store account must be registered in the same country or region” , What can I do ?

Is your credit card billed to you in the USA?

From: Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID; click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT202631

"Make sure that the billing address for your payment method matches the billing address for your Apple ID. In some cases, you might need to call your bank or financial institution to authorize international or online purchases. You might also need to confirm that the mobile number associated with your payment method is correct."

The system is set up so it is difficult to change country settings unless you really are moving to live in another country.

As for your gift card, maybe you know somebody who lives in the USA who would like it?
