Using either standard AirPods or AirPods Pro's (M1 MacBook Air, running 11.2.3), fails to record. Quicktime will capture the recording, show the correct time of recording, but playback immediately fails. Using the laptop microphone works just fine. I can only attribute it to when AirPods are connected, and set as the Microphone for Quicktime does the screen fail to record.

We understand from your post that you are unable to playback a screen recording with QuickTime when your AirPods or AirPods Pro are connected to your MacBook Air but have no issue with playing the recording when using the built-in mic. Does this happen with any headphones connected via Bluetooth to your MacBook Air or only with the AirPods and AirPods Pro? One option would be to test the issue while in safe mode.
