Music autoplay feature keeps turning itself back on

In my music app, whenever I select a song, the autoplay feature (the infinity button) automatically turns itself on, and apple music plops random ‘recommended’ music into my queue. Anybody know how to fix this?

This was not an issue on my old phone (iphone 8), but has been since I got my new iphone SE. I am on the latest version of ios and have tried restarting my phone already multiple times, so those are not the causes of the issue.
