Tips on adding extra monitor to laptop

Wanted to add extra monitor to my MacBook Air 10.15.7. I purchased "Moread" (HTMI to VGA Adapter) from Amazon to connect the monitor and installed Display Link but still does not detect and display extra monitor . Any advice on possible solutions on this?
