Can friends see Apple Watch activity in air plane mode ?

if my Apple Watch is in airplane mode, will my friends be able to see my activity rings and will I be able to share activity. Or does it not upload to iPhone until I turn off airplane mode?

activity rings sharing Hi, I have an iPhone 6S Plus and my apple watch is currently connected to it, although I have an iPhone X, which is my daily phone. I would like to know if it would be possible if my activity ring status could also show up on my iPhone X. So basically, my Activity Rings status should be shared across devices

Yes if you connect to Wi-Fi separately while in the airplane mode, then that sharing should again resume. See here for details:
